Avoid Rejected Ballots!

Please ensure your vote counts! The following lists reasons Votes get rejected:

• The ballot was not supplied by the Deputy Returning Officer(it's a fake)
• The ballot contains writing or marks that may identify the elector
• The ballot is torn, defaced or otherwise dealt with by the elector in a way that may identify him or her
• If votes have been cast for more candidates for the office than are to be elected (for example: 6 Councilors selected when only 5 positions available)
• If the vote is not marked inside the space provided for marking the ballot.  Ensure you stay within the boundary of the check box!!!
• A secrecy envelope not accompanied by a Voter Declaration Form
• A secrecy envelope where the Voter Declaration Form is unsigned
• Any ballot received by mail or dropped off after 8:00 p.m. on October 25, 2010

Detailed instructions will be included within your Ballot Package.  Please read these instructions and follow them.  During the last election we witnessed several ballots be rejected for the above reasons.
